RBC Dexia Investor Services is to provide unit registry services for funds recently purchased by Aberdeen Asset Management from Credit Suisse.

The service selection continues the link between the custodian and fund manager. RBC Dexia Investor Services is already the sole provider of unit registry services to Aberdeen's Asia Pacific operations.

2009 closes amid a dramatic spate of acquisitions and sales for Aberdeen. In January it bought Credit Suisse’s GBP250 million fund management arm, leading to a rise of more than 8% in the Swiss bank’s shares.

Then in July Aberdeen Unit Trust Managers sold the management contracts for two OEIC fund umbrellas containing 10 open-end funds to Premier Asset Management Group. The funds had a total asset value of GBP858 million as at 8th July 2009.
